Adding a dial
Adding a new page to your dials is easy!
Just right click the page and select Add dial option from context menu that appears.
Fill url and title of a page you wish to add. Now click newly created dial and wait for page to load to create it's thumbnail.
Optionally you can add any page or app you're currently viewing from Chrome's context menu by Right click > Speed dial 2 > Add current page
or select > Add all opened pages to include all pages in currently opened tabs.
Edit or remove a dial
To edit or remove a page from your dials right click it's thumbnail and select Edit or Remove.
Creating new group
Adding new group to your new tab page is easy!
Right click the page and select Create group option from context menu which appears.
Re-arranging your dials
To change order of your dials make sure to have Dial ordering option set to My manual order (see options).
Then you can drag thumbnails and move them around to set order you prefer.
Hiding a toolbar button
If you prefer not to show Speed dial 2 button on Chrome's toolbar you can easily hide it by right clicking the button and selecting Hide button.
You can re-enable the button from Chrome's extensions management page chrome://extensions/.
Hiding context menu
If you prefer not to show Speed dial 2 context menu while browsing other pages, disable it in options by switching off Show in Chrome's context menu option.
Please note that restarting the browser may be needed for changes to take effect.
Accessing options
To access the options page just right click empty space on a page with your dials and select Options from the context menu that appears.
Each option and it's effect on how Speed dial 2 works is described there - dont't worry about experimenting with different options.
Thumbnail quality
We recommend setting high quality for < 10 dials, medium quality for 10-20 thumbnails and low quality for > 20 thumbnails.
Please keep in mind that thumbnail quality also determines overall Speed dial loading time.
Problems with thumbnail loading
Sometimes the thumbnail of a page isn't captured correctly - this could happen when you leave the page before it changes it's own loading status to "completed".
To make a proper website thumbnail, please always wait for pages to finish loading. To reload the thumbnail please use right click and select Reload thumbnail from context menu.
Tip: Best speed
To achieve the best possible speed you can get from Speed dial 2 we recommend setting Minimalist theme, lowering the thumbnail quality and reloading their thumbnails and turning off unnecessary
sidebar panels or the sidebar completely. If you favor best possible speed - this should be you config.
